Preferences are a preferential customs treatment for goods to the European Union (EU) customs territory from certain countries or territories. The EU has made preferential agreements with different countries or country groups, and they are mostly bilateral.
With the preferences, customs duties and taxes are exempted on the goods coming from the country where such agreement had been established.
