We accompany you through the complete process of export customs clearance and ensure a smooth export of your goods.
Whenever goods are to be exported from an EU member state/Switzerland to a non-EU country (third country), they must be declared to the relevant customs authority. To ensure that export customs clearance runs smoothly, you should always have a competent expert at your side to support you throughout the entire customs procedure. Therefore, you should rely on Gerlach – your customs specialist – for your exports.
The customs clearance process for the export of goods consists of many small steps. Our experts accompany you from the customs declaration to the clearance receipt. The customs declaration must be submitted in electronic form to the responsible customs authority. The customs authority then first checks the declaration and the accompanying documents and inspects the goods on a random basis.
Before the goods are released for export, the export regulations, the licensing requirements and all relevant documents of the shipments are checked. After the goods have left the EU, an export certificate for VAT purposes (the so-called exit note) is issued. Through an internal control system, Gerlach as an additional service can ensure that you have all the necessary proofs of export.
