The German customs administration offers the possibility to create customs declarations for the release of goods into circulation via the Internet – also known as Internet export declaration (IAA). An online help function supports those involved in entering their declaration data. The declaration then only needs to be printed out and signed before it is submitted to the responsible customs office, together with all the necessary documents. Here, the declaration data is processed before any decision on import duties is finally issued. Upon informal request, the person concerned can access the information at any time using the Internet status information.
